“Our Call to Service”

“We believe that we have received a call from God to serve His church – His Body – through the God given gifts of music and song. It is our desire to serve Him in a spirit of joy, with a commitment to excellence, as we continue to grow in these gifts. Therefore, we commit to diligence in the training and improvement of our individual musical gifts. It is through our personal dedications to time spent in prayer and to time spent before our God in worship, that we become spiritually equipped to lead others. As we unite our prayers, in and through the offering of our musical leadership, we pray that our experience of liturgical worship would become a profound conversation with the God of truth!"

The Christmas Choir Schedule

1) The Contemporary Choir:

This choir rehearses weekly in the church on Wednesday evenings (beginning March7th, 2007) from 6-8pm and sings at the 5pm Saturday Mass and/or the 11am Sunday Mass. This choir is also in need of trained instrumentalists. Vocalists don’t need to be able to read music, but should be musically gifted!

2) The Children’s/Family Choir:

Generally, this choir sings on the first Sunday of each month at the 11am Mass for our “Family Liturgies”, September through May. Rehearsal times vary monthly. It is necessary to watch the bulletin for these announcements or phone our Director of Music Ministry @ 234-0351 for more information. This choir does not sing during Lent. This choir does sing for First Communion liturgies and for the “End of Year” liturgy during the month of May. All families with a love for music and a desire to share in ministry as a family are welcome. There are no age restrictions!

3) Divine Redeemer School Choir:

The school choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00pm in preparation for our Thursday morning school liturgies at 8:30am from September through May. Each class takes a turn at sponsoring each Mass and serving in the Music ministry.
