The question we find in this week's Gospel reading, “But who do you say I am?” raises the question of Jesus’ authority in our lives. Authority is something everyone knows we need and everyone thinks should be present, but nobody wants to submit to. God plan of authority, and man’s, are frequently not the same. Jesus is giving Peter today authority over the Church, but ultimately it is still under God but he gives us the privilege in life to do many things, raise children, oversee people etc. Where we get in trouble is when we lose sight of God and don’t have a relationship with him. May remember everything we have comes from God we should always live with God at the center of our life.
