GREETINGS FROM DEACON LARRY ROSSOW
Thank you for giving me the honor and blessing of serving you at Divine Redeemer parish. My wife Nancy and I look forward to being a part of this growing parish community. I was ordained in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City on November 3, 2000 while a professor at the University of Oklahoma. During the last 20 years I have had the privilege of serving the Church in many ministries in several different states.
I have been a Catholic radio talk show host, and a chaplain for several Catholic schools, and Boy Scout troops. In addition, I have been involved in marriage preparation programs, served as a parish retreat director and spiritual advisor for the Secular Franciscan order and Women’s Spiritual Retreats. I have been a Catholic school principal in the Archdiocese of Chicago, and have taught Theology and Religious Studies for several universities.
Nancy and I moved to Colorado Springs this past spring, coming from the Archdiocese of Chicago where I served as Director of Adult Faith Formation for the parish of St. Ignatius. In Victoria, Texas I served as Deacon of the Cathedral while Dean of the School of Education at the University of Houston-Victoria.
My wife of 44 years, Nancy, is a a retired school psychologist, and author. Her primary ministries have been in service to the poor. We have two daughters; Mara lives in California, and Marie in Colorado Springs. I am originally from Chicago, and my wife is from Lincoln, Nebraska. We spend the winter in Florida but will be here to minister in the parish the rest of the year. My prayers are with you as we live, learn and worship together in the coming years. May Almighty God be with you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
